Mountains are fascinating many people. Whether it might be climbing, hiking or skiing - this impressive landscape offers a high recreational value. Nevertheless, each year one can read from reports of mountain rescue operations in the newspapers. People have an incident while climbing, do not return from a hike or are caught in avalanches. In all these situations mountain rescue and civil protection units are on disposal to rescue people. The time to locate a missing person that is possibly injured is critical. MULTI ANTENNA PROCUREMENT CONTRACT FOR EUROPEAN SPACE DATA HIGHWAY

HITEC Luxembourg S.A., the Luxembourg based engineering and technology company, announced today that it has been selected for provisioning four antenna systems as part of the satellite ground stations to monitor and control the EDRS satellite network. The project is led by SES TechCom as a subcontractor to DLR (Deutsches Zentrum für Luft- und Raumfahrt). DLR recently signed a contract with Astrium to furnish major parts of the ground segment. The contract with HITEC Luxembourg includes the design, manufacturing and on-site installation of the antennas at key sites in Germany, UK and Belgium.
